These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at lonestartraumaedu.com (the “Site”) and your registration for and participation in courses offered by Lonestar Trauma Educators (“Lonestar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site or registering for a course, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Lonestar Trauma Educators is an American College of Surgeons (ACS) approved provider of Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS®) training. We offer the ATLS Traditional (Initial Provider) Course and the ATLS Refresher Course at our Houston and San Antonio locations, in accordance with ACS curriculum standards. Course dates, pricing, and content are subject to change. The most current information is published on the Site.
ATLS® is a registered trademark of the American College of Surgeons. Course content, materials, and certification are governed by ACS standards and are administered under our ACS site approval.
Our courses are open to licensed healthcare providers, including physicians (MD, DO), Fellows, Residents, CRNAs, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. Auditor attendance is available for individuals seeking educational exposure without certification. You are responsible for ensuring you meet the eligibility requirements for the course tier you register for. We verify eligibility before payment is processed, and we reserve the right to decline registration if eligibility requirements are not met.
Registration for a course is complete when we confirm your seat and successful payment. Course pricing is published on the relevant course page and includes course materials, ACS ATLS 11 online pre-course access, in-person course attendance, and, for certifying tiers, written and practical testing and issuance of your certification card upon successful completion.
An active military discount of $50 applies to any tier upon verification of eligibility.
All candidates are required to complete the ACS ATLS 11 online pre-course modules before attending the in-person course. Failure to complete the pre-course modules may result in your inability to sit for the certification examinations. Pre-course access information is provided after your registration is confirmed.
Upon successful completion of the written and practical post-tests, you will receive your ATLS certification, valid for four years from your course completion date. Certification is issued by the American College of Surgeons under ACS standards. Lonestar does not control ACS certification standards, examination content, or pass/fail determinations, and we make no guarantee that any individual candidate will successfully complete the course or pass the required examinations.
Auditor attendance does not result in ATLS certification.
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and course-related materials created by Lonestar, is the property of Lonestar Trauma Educators or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. ATLS® course materials are the property of the American College of Surgeons and are subject to ACS licensing terms. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our prior written permission or, where applicable, the permission of the ACS.
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the Site. You agree not to:
The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lonestar disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
While we make every reasonable effort to ensure the accuracy of information on the Site, including course dates, pricing, curriculum details, and venue information, we make no warranty that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Course information is subject to change, and we recommend confirming details before finalizing travel or lodging arrangements.
Nothing on this Site constitutes medical advice. The ATLS curriculum is a training program for licensed clinical providers and is not a substitute for clinical judgment in the treatment of any individual patient.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lonestar Trauma Educators, its faculty, coordinators, and affiliated parties shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site or your registration for or participation in any course. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the course giving rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lonestar Trauma Educators, its faculty, coordinators, and affiliated parties from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your misrepresentation of your credentials or eligibility.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [Harris County / Bexar County / to be confirmed], Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site or registration for a course after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
